2012/13 CALENDAR
“When pianist Rich Ridenour stepped out ... he seemed like just an amiable guy with a red bowtie. By the end of the two-hour concert, Ridenour showed that he is much more than amiable -- he’s a keen performer in many styles and a sharp comedian. He was able to establish a great rapport with the audience and the performers. Ridenour got the audience snapping and laughing and, by the end of the evening, he even had Maestro channeling Little Richard.”

"[Amy's] transparent, fluid soprano voice is yet filled with steamy, sultry innuendo that always gets the best of life’s vicissitudes."

Victor L. Schermer
All About Jazz

"...[Amy's] lush voice gleams in its natural bop surroundings, beguiling with the characteristic dips and bends and scats of the First Ladies of jazz."

Ring in the Holidays with the HSO!

The HSO annual Holiday tradition returns again this year with guest vocialist Amy Banks and pianist Rich Ridenour who takes the stage with Maestro Malina, the HSO, the Messiah College Concert Choir and the Susquehanna Children’s Chorale.

Vocalist Amy Banks has spent two decades performing as a professional singer, actress, and television personality. Originally from Minnesota, she has appeared on stage and screen all over the world, but calls Lancaster, Pennsylvania home after relocating there to perform at the American Music Theatre. Since then, she has self-published and produced four music CDs, of which her third CD, When the Sun Comes Out, reached Chartbound status at JazzWeek. Her fourth offering, In Love, has garnered serious attention. In 2004, Amy made her television hosting debut as a host-commentator on the reality TV shows "Design Invasion" (FOX) and "Bad Baths USA" (HGTV).

Rich Ridenour captivates audiences wherever he goes. A Juilliard graduate, he is equally at home with the classics, American popular music, jazz, ragtime and comedy. Rich has accompanied stars such as Carol Lawrence, Smokey Robinson, Larry Gatlin, and Mercedes Ellington.

Bring the family and join your friends and neighbors
for this fun Holiday weekend.
