Chee-Yun has captivated audiences on several continents with her tone, technique and compelling artistry. For the past two decades, the violinist has performed with the world’s foremost orchestras including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the London Philharmonic and the Toronto, Houston, Seattle, Pittsburgh and National Symphony orchestras.
She has performed with distinguished conductors such as Hans Graf, James DePriest, Jesus Lopez-Cobos, Michael Tilson Thomas, Krzysztof Penderecki, Neeme Järvi, Pinchas Zukerman and Manfred Honeck. Her musicianship was recognized in 1990 with the Avery Fisher Prize, one of the highest honors given to American instrumentalists.
