Elyssa graduated Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, PA, and during high school participated in the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. She spent 2 summers studying at the Tanglewood Boston University Institute and went on to graduate from Boston University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Cello Performance. She attended the summer music festivals of Kneisal Hall, AIMS and LA Philharmonic Institute.
Since 1991 she has been a member of the Harrisburg Symphony cello section.
Elyssa teaches privately and at the Music Centre in Exton.
Elyssa performed with the Pennsylvania Sinfonia for almost 20 years, and many other local organizations in the Tri-state area.
She plays weddings and parties. She has performed with Trans-Siberian Orchestra, RockStar Supernova, Rod Stewart, Josh Groban, Yanni , Beatlemania, and other large venue bands.
