Currently freelancing in and around New York City, Sara Cyrus performs with various orchestras including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, American Symphony Orchestra, as well as several Broadway shows.  In addition to being the Principal Horn with the Harrisburg Symphony, Ms. Cyrus is also a member of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and the New Haven Symphony.  A native of Michigan, she has held past positions with the Dallas Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, Grant Park Symphony and the South Dakota Symphony. Ms. Cyrus also plays the natural horn and baroque horn (ancestors to the modern valve horn).  She has recorded with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and Rebel Baroque Orchestra.  Ms. Cyrus received her Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University and Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School.  Teachers include Philip Farkas, Myron Bloom, Michael Hatfield, Kendall Betts and William Purvis.
