For the last two years a group of HSO patrons and friends have attended a summer weekend-long program created by the Boston Symphony called Tanglewood Backstage Pass.
This year, the 75th anniversary of the Tanglewood Music Festival, the BSO has decided not to continue the Backstage Pass program. So, the Harrisburg Symphony’s Education Committee decided to make our own program! We have made arrangements for a cultural extravaganza that will include four terrific performances at various venues. Interested? Read on!
The HSO Berkshire trip will include tickets to four different events and plenty of free time for you to explore the Berkshire Mountains on your own.
Hear a Boston Symphony concert at the Tanglewood Shed Friday night.
See a dance performance at Jacob’s Pillow Saturday night and a theatrical performance at Shakespeare & Company on Sunday afternoon. Top the weekend off with a special event concert at Tanglewood’s Ozawa Hall on Sunday evening featuring jazz trumpet virtuoso, Chris Botti.
Three meals are included in the package prices. The HSO Berkshire trip offers optional overnight accommodations at The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, MA.
You may make your own lodging arrangements in the Berkshires if you prefer to do so; however, please note that August 3-5 is one of the busiest weekends in the region and rooms may be difficult to obtain individually.
