I am thrilled to share the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra’s 2020-2021 Annual Report, which highlights our Season Like No Other. I could not be more proud of the work we accomplished together this past season, as we moved programming online with inventive and engaging performances, educational programs, and interviews. Thank you for your sustained and enthusiastic support.

Like you, I’m eagerly awaiting the exciting programs planned for this season at the historic Scottish Rite, the venue we will be using while the Forum is under construction. The season will begin on October 2 and 3 with pianist Joyce Yang and the music of Gabriela Frank, Jonathan Leshnoff, and Modest Mussorgsky. Renewed subscription tickets are being processed now and will be distributed via email soon. A limited number of single tickets for this performance will be available for purchase on or after September 20. As an important update, seating at the Scottish Rite Theatre will be General Admission.
Please note, due to continued concerns about Covid transmission, even among the vaccinated, the Harrisburg Symphony has adopted the following policy effective September 1. This policy will be in effect until further notice in order to protect you, our patrons, along with ensuring the health of our musicians, volunteers and staff.
Patrons at HSO concerts will be required to provide proof of full vaccination, which is defined today as two weeks after the second dose of a two-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen). All attendees must also be fully masked. Children under the age of 12 or others who are currently ineligible for vaccination are kindly asked not to attend at this time.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support during this historic time. With these many changes for the new season, we encourage you to follow us online at HarrisburgSymphony.org and on social media. We can’t wait to be together again and look forward to the musical year ahead.
