Maestro Gregory Woodbridge
Associate Conductor & Youth Symphony Music Director and Conductor
Gregory Woodbridge is now in his eighth season as Associate Conductor of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. He is also Music Director and Conductor of the Harrisburg Symphony Youth Orchestra (HSYO).
Maestro Woodbridge began studying piano at the age of 7 and violin at the age of 9. He holds degrees in Piano Performance and Orchestral Conducting from Penn State University. Additional conducting studies include the Pierre Monteux Conducting Institute in Maine with Michael Jinbo; Ennio Nicotra (founder of the Ilya Musin Society); and Gustav Meier and JoAnn Falletta at the Conductor’s Institute Richmond Symphony Masterclass.
Woodbridge was previously Music Director and Conductor of the Central PA Youth Orchestra, the Wednesday Club Youth Orchestra, the Central Pennsylvania Symphony, and the York Youth Symphony Orchestra. He can also be seen guest conducting the Hershey Symphony on both their Classical and Pops’ Series, and holds a faculty position at the Lancaster Country Day School.
Previous conducting engagements include the Hershey Symphony, York Symphony (PA), the PMEA Region IV-V State Orchestra Festival, the Lebanon Valley College-Community Orchestra, and the Messiah College Orchestra. Maestro Woodbridge lives in Lancaster, PA with his wife Heather and their two children, Delaney and Liam.
