2020-2021 POPS SERIES

Pops concerts, sponsored by Capital BlueCross, are performed at the Forum. There are five Pops concerts throughout the season, and each concert is performed twice – Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 3 PM. The Pops series brings contemporary, popular works to the symphony.

E.T., the Extra-Terrestrial

 October 31-Nov 1, 2020


Just in time for Halloween, the HSO presents the classic 1982 film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, as you’ve never seen it before. You’ll see and hear all the original dialogue projected on a screen above the orchestra while Stuart conducts the “out of this world” John Williams score.

Guys and Dolls

December 5-6, 2020

Frank Loesser’s celebrated musical comedy about rolling the dice and falling in love under the bright lights of Broadway, was a smash hit when it opened in 1950, winning the Tony Award for Best Musical. We present the ever-popular show in two concert performances.

Back to the 80s

January 30-31, 2021

“Back to the 80s” is a power-packed multi-media evening of the decade’s #1 hit songs. Three top vocalists, supplemented by visuals, perform music of such iconic 80s stars as Madonna, Huey Lewis & the News, Kenny Loggins, Blondie, Phil Collins, and many others.

Dancing in the Street: Music of Motown

March 6-7, 2021

“Dancing in the Street: Music of Motown” relives the glory days of Motown as three singers and the HSO pay a multi-media tribute to immortal stars like Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, and Stevie Wonder.

The Great Epic Film Scores

April 24-25, 2021

Stuart Malina conducts the majestic and beautiful music from some of the greatest blockbuster films of all time, including Gone With the Wind, The Magnificent Seven, Dr. Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, Rocky, Dances with Wolves, Ben-Hur, and many others.


Music in the Key of We--An Anniversary Celebration of Community will be an inspiring and unifying event. We aim to unify community members from all walks of life. It will be representative of our region and beautiful to behold.
