The HSO regretfully cancels May and July Concerts
Each day, our world and our communities are navigating a new normal. While we may not know when we will enjoy live music in the company of one another again, it is our fervent desire to perform once again for the Harrisburg community as soon as possible. In the meantime, based upon what we know at this time, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our May concerts as well as our Summer concert series. The following performances, which represent the remainder of our 2019-2020 season, have been cancelled:

May 2-3 – Capital Bluecross Pops (Tribute to John Williams)
May 10 – Youth Symphony Mother’s Day Concert
May 16-17 – Masterworks (Symphonic Splendor)
July 1-5 – Summer Concert Series

Individual patrons and subscribers* are asked to email info@harrisburgsymphony.org noting one of the following:

1) Convert the value of my tickets to a tax-deductible donation to the HSO (tax letters confirming your donation will be sent out as soon as we are able to return to our office).

2) Receive a credit voucher equal to the price paid for my tickets that can be used to purchase tickets to future HSO concerts (credit vouchers will be mailed during the summer).

3) Apply the price paid for my tickets towards my 2020-2021 subscription renewal (we will call you in the next two weeks to confirm details and complete your subscription).

4) Request a full refund for the price paid for your tickets (refunds and credits may take up to 4-6 weeks to process).

*Subscribers – Please note that the VIP discount has been extended to May 31, 2020.

Since our staff continues to work hard to serve you from their homes, please be in touch by phone or email. We will respond to your questions as soon as possible. Our goal is to serve you as quickly and efficiently as we can. Thank you for being patient as the volume of calls and correspondence has markedly increased.

As we follow current recommendations for social distancing, we have been exploring ways to stay connected with you and bring the inspiration of symphonic music into your homes. Over the past couple of weeks, we have shared with you portions of our November 2019 Masterworks concert. We hope you’ve enjoyed these excerpts and we will continue to share additional content in the coming weeks. Keep your ears primed for how we tune up for an even brighter and more sonorous future. With deep thanks for your continued patronage and support.
